House Rules & Regulations

These House Rules apply to every guest staying at Maweni Christian Guest House, Casuarina Road, Malindi, Kenya, whether booked online or checked in directly. By booking a room or staying with us, you agree to these terms.
1. Check-in & check-out
- Check-in: from 2:00 PM. Check-out: by 11:00 AM.
- Early check-in or late check-out may be arranged in advance, subject to room availability, and may attract an additional charge.
2. Identification is required at check-in
3. Payment
- Room rates are shown in Kenyan Shillings (KES) per room, per night, and are confirmed at the time of booking or check-in.
- Full or partial payment may be requested at check-in; any balance is due before check-out unless otherwise agreed with management.
- A receipt is issued for every payment made — please keep it for your records.
4. Cancellations & changes
- Online booking requests are provisional until confirmed by our team.
- We ask that cancellations or date changes be communicated to us as early as possible so the room can be released to other guests.
- Bookings cancelled with little or no notice, or "no-shows," may not be eligible for a refund of any deposit paid.
5. Conduct during your stay
- Please keep noise to a considerate level, particularly between 10:00 PM and 7:00 AM.
- Smoking is not permitted inside guest rooms or indoor common areas.
- Illegal drugs and unlawful activity are strictly prohibited on the premises.
- Visitors are welcome in common areas but should not stay overnight unless registered as a guest.
- Guests are responsible for the conduct of anyone they bring onto the property.
6. Pool & garden area
- Use of the pool is at your own risk. Children must be supervised by an adult at all times.
- No diving, glassware, or unsupervised swimming after dark.
7. Damage & liability
- Guests are liable for any loss or damage to guest house property caused by themselves or their visitors, beyond normal wear and tear.
- We take reasonable care to safeguard the property, but we are not liable for loss of cash, valuables, or personal belongings left unattended in rooms or common areas. Please use available in-room storage for valuables where provided.
8. Right to refuse or end a stay
Management reserves the right to refuse accommodation, or to ask a guest to leave without refund, in cases of serious misconduct, damage, threats to the safety of others, or breach of these House Rules.
9. Pets
Please contact us in advance if you wish to bring a pet, as this is considered on a case-by-case basis.
10. Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure to provide a room or service where this is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to power or water interruptions, extreme weather, or government directives.
